£55,000 – £60,000 

My client is looking for a passionate Ofsted Registered Manager to join their experienced senior leadership team. The role has come about due to continued, organic growth within the business.

You should be motivated and dedicated to deliver quality service whislt maintaining the companies Good rating with Ofsted and aspiring to reach outstanding.

This would be a full time role (40 hours per week – 8 hour days – Monday to Friday). You would be managing a staff team you will be supported by a deputy manager along with senior support workers.

Required:

  • Level 5 diploma (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years in A management role
  • Driving license

My client specialises in care for children/young people with learning disabilities in residential settings.

As Head of Care/Responsible Individual you will manage and oversee the strategic and day to day residential care of the company. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the directors in the delivery of the organisation’s strategic objectives. You will take overall management of our care services ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures and maintaining a positive work culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team consisting of an operations manager and group of care managers and staff to provide and maintain a high-quality service.
  • You will contribute to our overall strategic management, development and performance as we progress and grow our services across Shropshire.
  • Ensure all care standards, policies and procedures are fully understood and adhered to by the care teams.
  • Oversee the delivery of quality management systems, care development plans and sharing of best practice.
  • Ensure all homes exceed Ofsted requirements and maintain at least a Good or Outstanding rating.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of care policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Be an ambassador for the company.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in managing an Ofsted registered children’s care home that carries a rating of good or above.
  • A minimum of Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare)
  • Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of current legislation, including The Children’s Home England Regulations 2015 and other relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
